Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated, dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects worth over ₹14,700 crore in Haryana, with a focus on strengthening road connectivity, healthcare infrastructure and urban development across the state.
A major highlight of the programme was the inauguration of the Rewari Bypass, developed at a cost of around ₹1,070 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The six-lane access-controlled highway is expected to ease congestion in Rewari city, improve connectivity between Delhi and Narnaul, and facilitate smoother movement of freight traffic towards Rajasthan and western India.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for several road infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and supporting economic activity in the state. These projects are expected to improve travel efficiency, reduce logistics costs and strengthen links between key industrial and urban centres.
In the healthcare sector, Modi inaugurated and launched multiple projects to expand medical infrastructure and improve access to quality healthcare services. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening the state’s public health system while meeting the growing demand for advanced medical facilities.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said the Centre remains committed to developing world-class infrastructure that accelerates economic growth and improves the quality of life. He noted that investments in roads, healthcare and other public infrastructure would generate employment opportunities, attract investment and contribute to Haryana’s long-term development.
