Adani Group cement grinding unit expansion project in Madhya Pradesh to boost regional cement capacity
Adani Group announces ₹2,900 crore investment to set up new cement grinding units in Guna and Ujjain, strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s infrastructure ecosystem.

The Adani Group has announced a major expansion of its cement business in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of ₹2,900 crore, strengthening its presence in central India’s infrastructure sector. The investment will be used to set up new cement grinding units designed to boost production capacity and enhance regional market reach.

Under the plan, the company has secured land at Guna district for a cement grinding facility with an annual capacity of six million tonnes. This unit, backed by an estimated ₹1,500 crore investment, is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, including several hundred direct jobs and over a thousand indirect roles through associated supply chain and logistics activity.

In addition to the Guna project, the group is advancing plans for a second grinding unit in Ujjain district with a proposed investment of around ₹1,400 crore and similar production capacity. The proposal for this facility is currently under consideration with local authorities, and the company is in the process of securing land to support the project.

Officials from the state industrial development corporation highlighted that the proposed units at Guna and Ujjain will help meet rising demand for cement in central and western India, reduce logistics costs and create a more robust production network. Other locations in the state, including Bhopal and Rewa, are also being evaluated for future expansion opportunities.

The Adani Group already has a manufacturing footprint in Madhya Pradesh through an integrated cement plant in Kymore, and this latest investment is expected to further solidify the state’s role as a key growth hub for the conglomerate’s cement business. The expansion is also aligned with broader efforts to support regional infrastructure growth and deliver improved supply chain efficiencies for the construction industry.
