Shree Cement Limited has inaugurated a new ready-mix concrete (RMC) plant in Patna, Bihar, under its Bangur Concrete brand. The facility has an installed production capacity of 60 cubic metres per hour (CMH) and expands the company’s presence in eastern India. The plant was inaugurated by Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director, Shree Cement Limited, in the presence of senior company officials and other guests.

The new facility has been set up to cater to the growing demand for ready-mix concrete in Patna and neighbouring areas, where infrastructure development, urbanisation and real estate activity are driving construction requirements. It is expected to support timely supplies of quality concrete to construction projects and customers across the region.

With the addition of the Patna plant, Bangur Concrete’s network has expanded to 36 RMC plants across India. The company is continuing to build its presence in the ready-mix concrete segment as part of its broader strategy to expand its building materials portfolio beyond cement.

The facility incorporates modern batching technology, optimised material handling systems and quality control processes to maintain consistency in concrete production and improve operational efficiency. It will also follow environmentally responsible operating practices.

Commenting on the inauguration, Neeraj Akhoury said the new plant was an important addition to the company’s RMC business. He noted that the growing pace of construction activity has increased the need for quality concrete and dependable supply, adding that the company would continue expanding its RMC network while focusing on product quality and customer relationships.
