The Rudrapur Ring Road project in Uttarakhand is nearing completion, with authorities planning to begin trial runs after March 20, 2026.
The 20.5 km-long four-lane ring road, developed to ease congestion in the industrial city, has reached around 95% completion, with only minor finishing work remaining.
Constructed at an estimated cost of around ₹1,100 crore, the project has been under development for nearly four years and is now in its final stage.
The road passes through multiple outer areas and connects important national highway stretches, enabling seamless movement of goods and passenger traffic without entering the city core.
Officials have indicated that once the trial run is successfully completed, the road will soon be opened for public use, marking a major boost to urban mobility and regional connectivity in Uttarakhand.
The project is expected to play a crucial role in decongesting the industrial hub and improving logistics efficiency, significantly enhancing travel experience for both commuters and freight operators.
