Indian Railways has approved a new daily Mail service between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, providing an overnight rail travel option between Kanpur and the Delhi region.
The new service will operate as Train Nos. 14153/14154 Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar (T)-Kanpur Central Mail. It will cover a distance of 428 km in both directions, connecting Kanpur with several important stations across Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region.
Train No. 14153 will depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following morning. In the return direction, Train No. 14154 will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 pm and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 am.
The journey from Kanpur Central to Anand Vihar Terminal will take 8 hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey will take 8 hours.
The daily service will have commercial stoppages at eight stations along the route. These are Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.
The new train will provide an additional rail travel option between Kanpur and the National Capital Region, particularly through its overnight operating schedule in both directions.
The service will also connect passengers from important cities and towns along the route with Kanpur and the Delhi region. The scheduled stops at Etawah, Aligarh, Ghaziabad and other stations will provide additional passenger connectivity across the corridor.
The approval adds a new daily Mail service to the rail connectivity between Kanpur and the Delhi region, with timings that allow passengers to travel overnight and reach their destination in the morning.
