Matrix Geo Solutions Ltd. has secured a ₹1.24 crore contract from Central Railway to undertake a track geometry survey covering more than 300 km of railway tracks. The contract, awarded through a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), will be executed over a period of 18 months.
Under the project, the company will carry out precision track geometry surveys using advanced geospatial technologies to assess the alignment and condition of railway tracks. The survey is aimed at helping railway authorities identify deviations in track geometry, enabling timely maintenance interventions and supporting safer, smoother and more efficient train operations.
Commenting on the development, Amit Sharma, Whole-Time Director, Matrix Geo Solutions, said that technology has become an integral part of modern railway infrastructure management. He noted that accurate track geometry data enables railway authorities to improve operational safety, enhance ride quality and optimise maintenance planning, while supporting the ongoing modernisation of India’s railway network.
The latest order further strengthens Matrix Geo Solutions’ presence in the railway infrastructure segment, where the company provides geospatial engineering, surveying and mapping solutions for rail, road and other infrastructure projects. The company has been expanding its footprint in railway projects through the deployment of advanced surveying and digital mapping technologies.
