C.E. Info Systems Limited, which operates MapmyIndia and the Mappls app, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) to integrate official Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, information into its navigation platform. The integration will give more than 45 million Mappls users access to metro routes, fares, train frequencies and station details.

The service will help commuters identify stations, check route options and plan journeys across the network. Users will also be able to access station locations, available facilities such as parking, interchange points and details of metro lines.

The partnership combines MMRCL’s official transit information with MapmyIndia’s digital mapping and navigation technology. The integration is intended to make metro information more accessible to daily commuters and visitors travelling across Mumbai.

R. Ramana, Director (Planning & Real Estate/NFBR) at MMRCL, said the collaboration would help commuters navigate the metro network and plan their journeys more effectively. Rohan Verma, Joint Managing Director of MapmyIndia Mappls, highlighted the role of indigenous mapping technology in improving access to public transport information.

The companies have not disclosed the financial value of the agreement or a specific launch date for the integration.
