LJP Construction expands fleet with new Liebherr LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane for high-rise formwork projects in Montreal, Canada.
LJP Construction enhances its fleet with the powerful Liebherr LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane, combining strength, mobility, and cutting-edge VarioBase® technology.

Canadian formwork specialist LJP Construction has further expanded its heavy equipment lineup by adding the Liebherr LTR 1150, a powerful 150-tonne telescopic crawler crane introduced in 2023.

According to Axel Côté, Operations Manager at LJP Construction, the decision to invest in the new model was an easy one. “We immediately recognised how seamlessly the LTR 1150 would fit into our operations. Our experience with the LTR 1060 has been exceptional, and this new addition gives us greater lifting capacity while maintaining compactness and site flexibility,” he said.

Designed to combine power, precision, and efficiency, the Liebherr LTR 1150 delivers superior lifting performance with an emphasis on easy transport and fast setup. One of its standout features is Liebherr’s VarioBase® technology, which dynamically adjusts lifting capacity according to the crane’s track width and slewing angle, ensuring both safety and optimal performance. “VarioBase® was a decisive factor for us—it significantly improves lifting potential in confined spaces,” added Côté.

LJP Construction has been working with Liebherr equipment since 2009, steadily building a large and diverse fleet. Today, the company operates 21 tower cranes, 12 mobile cranes, a crawler crane, and a range of other Liebherr machines including wheel loaders, concrete pumps, and telescopic handlers.

“Liebherr shares our family-oriented values and commitment to quality,” Côté remarked. “Their machinery consistently delivers reliability and efficiency, and the support we receive from their team is outstanding.”

With a workforce of over 400 professionals, LJP Construction continues to be recognized across the Montreal region for its expertise in complex and high-rise formwork projects, further reinforcing its reputation as a leader in the Canadian construction sector.
