Krystal Integrated Services Ltd., in consortium with LC Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., has secured two work orders worth a combined ₹740.06 crore, including GST, from the Maharashtra government’s Urban Development Department for developing wastewater and sewerage infrastructure in the Pune and Nagpur divisions.
The contracts have been awarded to the LC Infra–Krystal Consortium, with LC Infra Projects serving as the lead member and Krystal Integrated Services acting as the technical member. Krystal holds a 40% share in the consortium, valued at approximately ₹296.03 crore.
The projects involve the development of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), Interception and Diversion (I&D) systems and sewer networks for urban local bodies. The works fall under the Swachh Maharashtra Mission (U) 2.0 and cover STPs with a treatment capacity of 5 million litres per day (MLD) and above.
Of the two contracts, one is valued at approximately ₹160.12 crore and covers the Pune revenue division, while the second, worth around ₹579.94 crore, covers the Nagpur revenue division. Both projects are to be executed on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis over a period of two years.
The orders represent a significant expansion of Krystal Integrated Services’ presence in the urban infrastructure segment. The company’s core operations have traditionally been centred on facilities management and business services, but its participation in large-scale EPC projects gives it exposure to India’s growing requirement for municipal wastewater treatment and sanitation infrastructure.
The focus on sewage treatment and sewer networks also reflects the increasing importance of wastewater management as Indian cities expand. Rapid urbanisation is placing greater pressure on existing drainage and sewerage systems, while stricter environmental requirements are increasing the need for treatment capacity and more efficient management of municipal wastewater.
For Maharashtra, projects of this scale can contribute to strengthening urban sanitation infrastructure across multiple local bodies. Integrated development of treatment plants, interception systems and sewer networks can help improve the collection and treatment of wastewater rather than addressing individual components in isolation.
The contracts also provide Krystal with a sizeable addition to its infrastructure order pipeline. With the company’s technical role covering the consortium’s project requirements, successful execution could strengthen its credentials in government-backed urban infrastructure and create opportunities for participation in similar wastewater and municipal projects.
The latest wins come as Krystal continues to expand its business base. The company reported 11.65% growth in revenue from operations to ₹360.71 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹323.08 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.
