Delhi is preparing a large-scale road infrastructure overhaul covering nearly 150 km of key corridors, with plans to develop around 46 km of flyovers and elevated roads to tackle persistent traffic congestion across the city.
The proposed initiative focuses on major arterial routes and high-traffic stretches, where bottlenecks and signal delays significantly impact daily commute times. By introducing elevated corridors and grade separators, authorities aim to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and reduce pressure on surface roads.
The plan is expected to include a mix of flyovers, elevated corridors, and road widening projects, targeting some of the most congested zones in the national capital.
