Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a series of infrastructure development projects worth approximately ₹327 crore aimed at enhancing basic amenities and living conditions in the city’s JJ clusters. The inauguration was held at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Out of the total sanctioned amount, projects worth ₹144 crore have already been awarded and are moving into the execution phase. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the Delhi government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and ensuring better quality of life for residents living in informal settlements.
A significant portion of the investment is focused on public convenience infrastructure. Around ₹225 crore has been approved for 476 public convenience complex projects, of which 214 works amounting to ₹81 crore have already been awarded.
Additionally, the government has approved ₹102 crore for cement-concrete road and pathway improvement works across JJ clusters. Of these, 172 projects worth ₹63 crore have been awarded so far.
The projects are expected to strengthen basic civic facilities, improve sanitation, and create safer, more accessible living environments across JJ cluster areas in Delhi.
