Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off two new express train services from Hazur Sahib Nanded railway station, further strengthening Indian Railways’ network and improving long-distance connectivity between Maharashtra, Mumbai, and Uttarakhand.

The newly introduced services include the Nanded–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Express and the Tanakpur–Nanded Express. The launch is expected to provide passengers with more convenient travel options while enhancing rail connectivity across key regions of the country.

The Nanded–Mumbai Express is set to offer a direct travel link between the Marathwada region and Mumbai, benefiting daily commuters, business travellers, and other passengers. Meanwhile, the Tanakpur–Nanded Express establishes a direct rail connection between Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, making travel easier for tourists, pilgrims, and residents of both states.

The new route is also expected to improve access to Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib in Nanded, one of the holiest Sikh pilgrimage sites, by providing a direct rail service from the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.

The introduction of these services reflects Indian Railways’ continued focus on expanding connectivity, improving passenger convenience, and strengthening transport links between major cities and important religious destinations across the country.
