Ashoka Buildcon Limited has secured an international road infrastructure contract worth US$35.42 million (approximately ₹305 crore) from the Government of Guyana, further expanding its presence in the South American infrastructure market.

The contract has been awarded by Guyana’s public infrastructure authorities for the rehabilitation and construction of a key road corridor, reinforcing Ashoka Buildcon’s growing portfolio of overseas engineering and construction projects. The company disclosed that the project will be executed under an item-rate contract, with construction scheduled for completion within the timeline specified in the agreement.

The latest order follows a series of infrastructure contracts secured by Ashoka Buildcon in Guyana over the past few years. The company has already delivered the East Coast–East Bank Road Linkage Project (Phase I) and is executing Phase II, reflecting its expanding role in the country’s road development programme.
Guyana has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, driven by rapid expansion in its oil and gas sector. The government has significantly increased investment in highways, bridges and transport infrastructure to improve connectivity and support economic development, creating substantial opportunities for international EPC contractors.

For Ashoka Buildcon, the contract adds to its international order pipeline and strengthens its overseas business, which now spans projects across Guyana, Maldives, Bangladesh and Angola. The company has been steadily diversifying beyond the domestic market by participating in large-scale transport and power infrastructure projects in emerging economies.
