Adani Group’s ITD Cementation India Ltd has won a major contract worth ₹1,643 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (Maha Metro) for the construction of the underground stretch of Pune Metro’s Line 3, connecting Swargate to Katraj.
The project involves the design and execution of twin tunnels and underground stations along this vital 5.5-kilometre corridor, which is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in southern Pune. Once completed, the Swargate–Katraj line will enhance urban mobility and improve connectivity to key residential and commercial areas.
This project marks another milestone in ITD Cementation’s growing presence in India’s urban infrastructure and metro development sector. The company has been associated with several metro projects across major cities, reinforcing its expertise in complex tunnelling and underground civil works.
The Swargate–Katraj extension is part of the Pune Metro Phase II expansion plan and is expected to boost last-mile connectivity while reducing travel time between key city zones.
