Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited, through its joint venture with Ganesh Kartikey Private Limited (BIL-GKCPL JV), has secured a bridge construction project worth ₹89.73 crore from the Punjab Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads). The project involves constructing a high-level bridge over the River Ravi at Makoura Pattan in Punjab’s Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts.

The project has been awarded under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) Scheme and is scheduled to be completed within 24 months. The company’s joint venture was earlier declared the lowest bidder (L-1) for the project. It has since received the Letter of Acceptance from the Punjab PWD.

The scope of work includes construction of a 44-span, 1,606-metre-long high-level bridge over the River Ravi, along with 4,144 metres of approach roads. The total length of the bridge and approach roads is approximately 5.75 km.

The project is intended to improve connectivity in the border areas of Punjab by providing a road link across the River Ravi. The bridge and its approaches will form an important part of the local road infrastructure connecting settlements in Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts.

The ₹89.73-crore contract adds to Brahmaputra Infrastructure’s project portfolio and expands its presence beyond its traditional northeastern markets. The company undertakes engineering, procurement and construction works across bridges, highways, flyovers, tunnels, airports and other civil infrastructure projects.

As of August 2026, Brahmaputra Infrastructure had reported an order book of approximately ₹1,600 crore. The company had indicated that it expected its order book to reach ₹2,500 crore by the end of the calendar year, supported by new project wins and public-sector infrastructure contracts.

The Punjab bridge project adds to the company’s ongoing infrastructure assignments, including contracts secured through joint ventures for railway and road works. Its execution period of 24 months provides a defined schedule for completing the bridge and approach roads.

The project strengthens Brahmaputra Infrastructure’s participation in government-funded bridge development and regional connectivity projects, with the construction work covering a major river crossing and associated road infrastructure in Punjab.
