RITES Limited and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore consultancy opportunities for the development of logistics infrastructure across India. The partnership brings together RITES’ expertise in transport infrastructure consultancy and CONCOR’s experience in multimodal logistics and container transportation to support the country’s expanding logistics network.
Under the agreement, the two public sector enterprises will collaborate on consultancy assignments related to multimodal logistics parks, inland container depots (ICDs), freight terminals, rail connectivity projects, ports, warehousing facilities, and other logistics infrastructure. The partnership will also focus on preparing feasibility studies, detailed project reports (DPRs), project management consultancy, engineering solutions, and advisory services for logistics projects.
The collaboration is expected to leverage the complementary strengths of both organisations to deliver integrated logistics solutions for government agencies, public sector enterprises, and private sector clients. By combining infrastructure planning with operational expertise, the two companies aim to improve cargo movement, strengthen multimodal connectivity, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
The MoU aligns with the government’s broader initiatives to modernise India’s logistics ecosystem through projects such as the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy. Improved logistics infrastructure is expected to reduce transportation costs, enhance freight efficiency, and support industrial and trade growth across the country.
The partnership is also expected to help accelerate the development of integrated logistics infrastructure by offering end-to-end consultancy services, reinforcing the role of both RITES and CONCOR in supporting India’s long-term infrastructure and connectivity ambitions
