Uttar Pradesh Plans Dedicated Singapore City Near Noida International Airport to Attract Global Investments

The Uttar Pradesh government plans to develop a dedicated ‘Singapore City’ in Sector 7 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, near the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar. The proposed development aims to attract Singaporean investments and establish a hub for advanced manufacturing, technology, logistics and urban infrastructure.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and a 14-member delegation of Singaporean industrialists and investors led by the Singapore Business Federation. The delegation expressed interest in investment opportunities across multimodal logistics and warehousing, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, data centres, cloud services, artificial intelligence, green energy and hospitality.

The proposed areas of cooperation also include solar energy, green hydrogen, waste management and water recycling. The initiative follows the Chief Minister’s visit to Singapore in February 2026 to strengthen investment ties and attract foreign investment to the state.

Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing capabilities, Adityanath said the state accounts for approximately 55% of India’s total mobile phone production and 60% of electronic component manufacturing. The delegation also visited industrial areas in Noida and Greater Noida and reviewed developments including the Film City, Toy Park, Apparel Park, Medical Devices Park and the proposed semiconductor cluster in the YEIDA region.

The proposed Singapore City is expected to strengthen the industrial and investment ecosystem around Jewar airport, leveraging the region’s connectivity and infrastructure. However, detailed project plans, investment commitments and development timelines are yet to be finalised.
