Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has secured a ₹64 crore order from APL Logistics Vascor Automotive, further strengthening its position in the specialised railway freight wagon segment. The contract involves the manufacture and supply of automotive freight wagons, catering to the growing demand for efficient rail-based transportation of finished vehicles and high-value cargo.
As per the order details, Texmaco Rail will supply ACT-1 type wagons along with BVCM brake vans, designed and built in line with the latest specifications and safety standards prescribed by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO). These wagons are specifically engineered to ensure safe, damage-free, and efficient movement of automobiles, reflecting the increasing shift of the automotive logistics sector towards customised rail solutions.
The order has been placed by APL Logistics Vascor Automotive, a key player in automotive supply chain and vehicle logistics services, which operates specialised rail solutions for OEMs across India. The contract highlights the company’s continued investment in modern rolling stock to support expanding automotive production and distribution networks.
