Telawne Power Equipments Expands Ambernath Footprint by 61,837 Sq Ft

Telawne Power Equipments has expanded its manufacturing and supply-chain infrastructure by adding 61,837 sq ft of facilities at Ambernath, Maharashtra, as the transformer manufacturer looks to strengthen its capacity to cater to growing demand from domestic and international markets. The expansion is aimed at supporting the company’s increasing requirements across power transmission and distribution, renewable energy, industrial and infrastructure applications.

The newly added infrastructure comprises a 43,000 sq ft centralised warehouse and an 18,837 sq ft additional production bay, both of which were inaugurated on August 20. The facilities extend Telawne’s existing Ambernath manufacturing operations, adding to its established manufacturing presence across Rabale, Taloja and Ambernath.

The additional production bay will enable the company to take up larger, more complex and customised manufacturing requirements, while the centralised warehouse is expected to improve storage, material movement and inventory availability. The expansion is also designed to streamline production workflows, strengthen supply-chain efficiency and improve delivery responsiveness as project volumes increase.

According to Rakesh Telawne, Managing Director, Telawne Power Equipments, the expansion is intended to strengthen the company’s ability to scale operations, respond faster to customer requirements and participate in the next phase of growth in the power infrastructure sector. He added that the additional capacity will help the company support larger projects across India and international markets.

The investment comes against the backdrop of rising electricity demand, renewable energy deployment, grid modernisation and expanding transmission and distribution infrastructure. Growing power requirements from data centres and other digital infrastructure are also creating demand for reliable and scalable electrical infrastructure. Telawne said the expanded facilities will provide greater operational flexibility to serve these evolving requirements.

The Ambernath expansion forms part of Telawne Power Equipments’ broader growth strategy, combining higher manufacturing capacity with improved material management and delivery capabilities. The company currently has an installed manufacturing capacity of 10,000 MVA per annum across various transformer ratings and serves customers across multiple international markets.
