Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to expedite approvals for major infrastructure projects, including a proposed 12-lane greenfield expressway connecting Hyderabad with Amaravati. During discussions, Reddy emphasized that the corridor would not only ease travel between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh but also boost regional trade, logistics, and economic activity.
The Chief Minister also pressed for quick clearances on the Regional Ring Road projects and other key national highway expansions in Telangana. He highlighted that improved connectivity is critical for supporting the state’s growing industrial clusters and for decongesting traffic in Hyderabad and surrounding areas.
Officials said the proposals, if approved, would mark a significant step toward strengthening Telangana’s transport backbone, creating faster movement corridors, and supporting long-term economic growth.
