TCS Launches Gemini Experience Center in the US to Accelerate AI-Powered Manufacturing

TCS launches Gemini Experience Center for AI-powered manufacturing in Michigan
Tata Consultancy Services launches a Gemini Experience Center in Troy, Michigan to accelerate AI-powered manufacturing solutions.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global provider of IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has launched its seventh Gemini Experience Center (GEC) at its Innovation Hub in Troy, Michigan, in partnership with Google Cloud. The new facility is designed to develop advanced Physical AI solutions for the manufacturing sector.

The launch marks another milestone in the global expansion of TCS’ Gemini Experience Centers. The company plans to establish a total of 13 GECs worldwide by the end of 2026, with six additional centers scheduled to be launched during the year. As artificial intelligence adoption accelerates across industries, these centers are expected to help enterprises move beyond isolated AI experiments toward scalable, production-ready transformation initiatives.

The Physical AI Gemini Experience Center for Manufacturing in Troy will provide global manufacturers with a platform to explore, test, and scale AI-driven applications focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The facility incorporates the TCS Physical AI Blueprint, an integrated framework that combines AI-enabled quadruped and humanoid robotics with advanced sensing technologies, edge intelligence, and secure cloud orchestration to deliver real-time operational insights and autonomous decision support.

Key applications demonstrated at the center include autonomous patrolling and surveillance, environmental anomaly detection, monitoring of personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, intelligent quality inspection, progress tracking, and predictive monitoring of equipment health.

Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing at TCS, said the new center reflects the growing role of Physical AI in bringing intelligence directly into industrial environments. He noted that the initiative will help manufacturers extend visibility and decision-making into areas that are difficult, risky, or inefficient for humans to access. Designed with a human-in-the-loop approach, the system works alongside the workforce to improve safety and operational resilience while creating industrial environments that are more adaptive and continuously aware.

Saurabh Tiwary, Vice President and General Manager, Cloud AI at Google Cloud, said the collaboration focuses on accelerating the deployment of agentic AI in industrial operations. The new center aims to help manufacturers build more autonomous, resilient, and data-driven enterprises while optimising business models using advanced cloud technologies.

The Troy facility also strengthens TCS’ global innovation network and aligns with the company’s strategy of partnering with hyperscalers to support the next phase of AI-driven industrial transformation. Through demonstrations and scenario-based workshops, enterprises will be able to experience how AI adoption can move from infrastructure development to production-ready applications that enhance shopfloor performance, modernise enterprise platforms, and enable autonomous operations.

Prior to the Troy launch, TCS had established six Gemini Experience Centers in Bangalore, New York, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore, and São Paulo. These centers form part of the broader TCS Pace and innovation network, which connects startups, universities, and industry partners to accelerate technological development.

TCS has also recently expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to increase enterprise access to Gemini Enterprise, enabling teams to develop custom AI agents and integrate pre-built Google Cloud and third-party agents. The initiative is aimed at helping organisations worldwide adopt advanced AI solutions to improve efficiency and drive innovation.
