Tata Projects Ltd (TPL) has formed a strategic partnership with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI Global), a globally recognised specialist in aviation infrastructure, to jointly design and construct next-generation aircraft maintenance and hangar facilities in India. The collaboration was officially announced on 18 November.
Under this partnership, the two companies will offer end-to-end solutions for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) infrastructure, including the development of large aircraft hangars, integrated support structures, and specialised engineering systems essential for modern aviation operations.
TPL’s strong expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), combined with ASI Global’s advanced capabilities in structural design and modular hangar technology, aims to deliver high-quality, safe, and rapidly deployable facilities tailored to the needs of India’s expanding aviation industry.
Commenting on the development, Vinayak Pai, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Projects, said that the agreement represents a significant milestone for India’s infrastructure landscape. “This partnership marks an important step toward delivering world-class, state-of-the-art MRO facilities for India’s rapidly growing aviation sector,” he stated.
Echoing similar views, Mark Langbein, Managing Director of ASI Global, noted the strong synergy between the two organisations. “Our extensive experience in aircraft hangar design and engineering, combined with Tata Projects’ proven track record in handling major infrastructure projects across the country, presents a compelling value proposition for aviation clients,” he said.
With India witnessing rapid fleet expansion among airlines and increasing demand for domestic maintenance capacity, the TPL–ASI Global partnership is expected to significantly boost the nation’s aviation ecosystem and reduce dependence on overseas MRO services.
