Shree Cement has commissioned a 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) cement grinding facility at Union Cement Company (UCC), its subsidiary in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The facility was set up with an investment of AED 115 million and expands the company’s cement manufacturing capacity in the UAE from 4 MTPA to 7 MTPA.
The new unit is equipped with Gebr. Pfeiffer’s MVR 6000 vertical roller mill technology, along with an integrated grinding and separation system, material-handling infrastructure and dust-collection systems. The technology is designed to improve grinding efficiency and operational reliability while supporting energy-efficient production.
Shree Cement’s total cement manufacturing capacity across India and the UAE has increased to 76.3 MTPA, according to the company.
UCC also operates a 31.50 MW waste heat recovery system for green power generation. The new grinding facility adds to the subsidiary’s manufacturing capabilities and supports its focus on energy efficiency.
Shree Cement Chairman H. M. Bangur said the commissioning was an important milestone in the company’s international expansion. He highlighted the increased UAE capacity and the company’s focus on advanced technology and operational efficiency.
