Semac Construction enters joint venture with Ukraine based ALTIS for Barauni railway station redevelopment
Semac Construction has partnered with Ukraine’s ALTIS Holding Corporation to jointly bid for railway infrastructure projects, starting with the Barauni Junction redevelopment.

Semac Construction Limited has entered into a strategic joint venture as part of its plan to strengthen its presence in India’s railway infrastructure sector. The company’s Board of Directors approved the partnership on January 19, 2026, marking a key milestone in its growth and expansion strategy.

Under the arrangement, Semac Construction will partner with ALTIS Holding Corporation, a company registered in Ukraine, to jointly participate in bids for railway infrastructure projects in India. The collaboration will initially target the redevelopment of Barauni Junction Railway Station under East Central Railway, a project aligned with the government’s broader railway modernisation programme.

Through this joint venture, Semac aims to enhance its technical capabilities and bidding strength, enabling it to compete for large-scale railway redevelopment projects. The partnership positions the company to tap into one of the fastest-growing segments of India’s transport infrastructure landscape.
