Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a ₹95.27 crore contract from NMDC Limited for refurbishment works related to railway infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the project as part of its ongoing infrastructure execution activities.

The scope of work includes refurbishment of the Permanent Way of NMDC railway sidings and maintenance of mobile equipment tracks at the company’s mining facilities located in Kirandul and Bacheli. These rail systems are crucial for transporting iron ore from the mining sites to processing and logistics hubs.

According to the company’s regulatory disclosure, the project is expected to be completed within 36 months and will be executed under standard contractual conditions. The contract falls within RVNL’s regular business operations in railway infrastructure development.

The refurbishment project is expected to improve track reliability and operational efficiency at NMDC’s mining operations, ensuring smoother movement of iron ore and strengthening logistics connectivity within the region’s mining ecosystem.
