Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, for a railway infrastructure project linked to the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar. The order, valued at ₹903 crore including GST, involves construction of a permanent siding and an aerial rail-track connection.

The project covers the construction of a permanent siding along with an aerial connection via track from the Plant Boundary to Chausa and Pawani Kamarpur at Buxar (Phase-III) in Bihar for STPL’s 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project (BTPP), under PCD-133/2026.

According to RVNL’s disclosure, the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and carries general contract conditions. The project is part of the normal course of business of the company.

The total consideration for the contract is Rs. 903,00,68,492/-, inclusive of GST. RVNL has stated that neither the promoter/promoter group/group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the order, nor does the contract fall within related-party transactions.

The contract is scheduled to be executed within a period of 36 months.
