PWD Launches ₹300 Crore Post-Monsoon Road Repair Drive Across Delhi

PWD road restoration in Delhi after monsoon – resurfacing, pothole repair, and maintenance on key arterial stretches including Noida Link Road and Ring Road.
PWD begins ₹300 crore road repair drive in Delhi to restore major stretches, improve ride quality & ensure smoother commutes post-monsoon.

The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced a major post-monsoon road restoration initiative worth nearly ₹300 crore across the national capital. The drive will cover resurfacing, pothole repairs, and maintenance work on several arterial stretches, including the busy Noida Link Road, Ring Road corridors, and key flyovers that witness heavy daily traffic.

Officials said the monsoon had left several stretches in need of urgent attention, and the overhaul will focus on improving riding quality and ensuring long-term durability of city roads. Special emphasis will be placed on high-density routes that connect residential zones with commercial and office hubs.

The PWD will use new road-laying techniques and high-quality material to strengthen surfaces, aiming to reduce recurring damage during future monsoon seasons. Work has already been scheduled in phases to minimize disruption to traffic movement.

With this initiative, authorities expect smoother commutes and enhanced safety for motorists across Delhi in the coming months.
