PNC Infratech has secured highway construction projects worth approximately ₹3,483 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening the company’s position in India’s rapidly expanding road infrastructure sector.

The newly awarded contracts are part of the Centre’s continued push to accelerate highway connectivity, economic corridor development, and logistics infrastructure expansion under major national infrastructure programmes including Bharatmala Pariyojana and PM Gati Shakti.

According to company disclosures, the projects involve construction and upgradation of key highway stretches in Uttar Pradesh aimed at improving regional connectivity, reducing travel time, and strengthening freight movement across high-traffic transport corridors. The contracts are expected to be executed under EPC and hybrid infrastructure development models.

The projects are strategically important because Uttar Pradesh remains one of India’s largest infrastructure markets, with multiple expressways, industrial corridors, logistics parks, and urban expansion projects currently under development. The state has witnessed substantial investment in transport infrastructure over the past several years.

Officials indicated that the highway projects will help improve connectivity between industrial zones, urban centres, agricultural regions, and freight corridors while supporting economic activity and logistics efficiency across northern India. Enhanced road infrastructure is also expected to facilitate smoother passenger and commercial traffic movement.

PNC Infratech has emerged as one of India’s major infrastructure engineering and construction companies with a strong presence in highways, expressways, bridges, airports, water infrastructure, and urban development projects. The company has been actively participating in large-scale national infrastructure expansion programmes.

India’s road infrastructure sector has been witnessing unprecedented investment growth driven by government focus on logistics modernisation, industrial connectivity, economic corridor development, and regional integration. Thousands of kilometres of highways, expressways, tunnels, and bypass projects are currently under construction nationwide.

Uttar Pradesh, in particular, has become a major hub for highway and expressway development with projects such as the Ganga Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway, and multiple economic corridors reshaping the state’s transportation network. Improved road infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance industrial investment and logistics efficiency.

Industry experts noted that continued order inflows from NHAI reflect sustained momentum in India’s infrastructure execution cycle despite broader economic uncertainties. Large engineering and construction firms are benefiting from increased government spending on roads, urban infrastructure, railways, and industrial development projects.

The latest project wins are expected to strengthen PNC Infratech’s order book and long-term revenue visibility while contributing to ongoing efforts to modernise India’s highway infrastructure ecosystem. Construction activities are likely to begin following completion of detailed engineering, land-related clearances, and mobilisation processes.
