PM Modi Launches Development Projects Worth Over ₹50,000 Crore from Odisha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Odisha, unveiled and laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects with a cumulative investment exceeding ₹50,000 crore.

A key highlight of the announcement was the launch of infrastructure expansion projects across eight Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) Tirupati, Palakkad, Bhilai, Jammu, Dharwad, Jodhpur, Patna, and Indore. These initiatives, with an investment of around ₹11,000 crore, are aimed at enhancing academic capacity and creating over 12,000 additional seats across the institutes in the next four years.

The projects reflect the government’s continued focus on strengthening higher education infrastructure while also driving large-scale investment in critical sectors to boost growth and development in the country.
