PhonePe, MeitY Sign MoU to Integrate PulsePro with GatiShakti

PhonePe has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to integrate its enterprise data intelligence platform, PulsePro, with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. The collaboration is aimed at strengthening data-driven infrastructure planning, economic analysis and urban and rural development across India.

Under the agreement, PulsePro metrics will be integrated into the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan portal, which is managed in collaboration with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N). The integration will make granular and hyperlocal transactional insights available for internal government use, supporting more informed planning and decision-making.

PhonePe PulsePro converts aggregated and anonymised transaction data into market signals, offering insights into trends across different geographies, categories and markets. The platform is designed to provide near real-time visibility into economic activity, enabling organisations to identify emerging trends and use data to support strategic decisions.

The collaboration is expected to complement existing datasets available through the GatiShakti framework by adding hyperlocal insights from real-world digital transaction activity. These inputs can support planning across economic zones and help strengthen the evidence base for infrastructure development and broader urban-rural growth.

MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan said that granular and hyperlocal data intelligence can complement existing datasets and provide greater visibility into emerging trends across markets and geographies. PhonePe’s Head of Strategy, Karthik Raghupathy, said the integration would contribute to a stronger data ecosystem and more evidence-based infrastructure planning.

The MoU builds on PhonePe’s Pulse open-data platform, launched in 2021, with PulsePro extending the capabilities into enterprise-grade data intelligence and deeper, more granular market insights.
