Patna has inched closer to its long-awaited metro services as the first trial run of the Patna Metro was successfully completed. The initial testing took place within the depot, marking a significant step in the city’s modern transport journey.
With this achievement, officials are preparing for the next phase, an extended trial run on the priority corridor between ISBT and Bhootnath Station. The corridor, which also covers Malahi Pakadi, is nearing completion and is expected to bring major relief to commuters once operations begin.
The project, considered a game-changer for Patna’s growing urban mobility needs, is designed to reduce road congestion and provide a reliable, eco-friendly mode of public transport. Authorities believe that the commencement of metro services will not only ease daily travel but also boost connectivity and support the city’s economic development.
