“Our Etnyre-backed portfolio is designed to mechanise maintenance activities that have traditionally been labour-intensive, helping authorities and contractors improve consistency, productivity, safety and asset life.”
1. InfraServe Global has been created at an interesting point in India’s infrastructure journey, bringing several equipment and technology businesses under one dedicated platform. What was the larger idea behind creating ISG, and what gap in the infrastructure-equipment market did you want the new organisation to address?
India’s infrastructure journey has entered a new phase. The country has built roads and other infrastructure at a tremendous scale, and the next challenge is ensuring these assets deliver performance, safety, and value throughout their lifecycle.
India’s national highway network has grown by around 60% over the last decade, while construction continues at a significant pace. This creates a parallel requirement: how do we maintain this rapidly expanding asset base efficiently and sustainably?
That is where we saw a clear gap. While road construction has become increasingly mechanised, maintenance has historically remained more manual, reactive, and fragmented. Crack sealing, pothole repair, and surface preservation are often undertaken after deterioration has already occurred, affecting road quality, productivity, and worker safety.
InfraServe Global (ISG) was created to address this opportunity through a dedicated platform spanning asphalt and concrete batching, road maintenance and repair, concrete pumping, 60+ hydraulic attachments, and other specialised solutions.
Road maintenance is particularly strategic for us. Our Etnyre-backed portfolio, including asphalt distributors, crack sealers, and micro-surfacing equipment, is designed to help move the industry towards mechanised, preventive, and technology-led maintenance, delivering better productivity, quality, safety, and lifecycle economics.
For the first time, ISG will be launching ISG-branded concrete pumps, based on customer inputs and gaps in the pumping industry market. We are bringing this to customers in synergy with our Eurotec concrete batching plants—pumping solutions have become increasingly important for RMC/batching plant operators, infrastructure customers and rental players.
2. Your portfolio cuts across asphalt and concrete plants, road maintenance, concrete pumping, hydraulic attachments and slurry pumps. These are quite different product categories, yet they ultimately serve the same project ecosystem. How are you bringing these capabilities together to create a more integrated proposition for contractors and infrastructure developers?
The categories may be different, but they serve different requirements across the same infrastructure lifecycle. Our objective is to bring these capabilities together and offer customers complete solutions for growth under one roof.
A contractor or infrastructure developer may require equipment at different stages—from producing asphalt and concrete to building infrastructure and subsequently maintaining it. ISG allows us to address these requirements through one platform.
We combine global technology partnerships with Indian manufacturing and application expertise. Our partnerships with Lintec & Linnhoff, Etnyre International, Kinshofer Group, and Goodwin give us access to specialised technologies, while our manufacturing capabilities allow us to localise solutions for Indian conditions.
A concrete pump is a natural add-on for batching plant owners and is often sold as part of a package. Our ISG-branded pumps will be a game-changer in the industry, backed by an industry-first two-year warranty that gives customers peace of mind and high reliability.
Our network of more than 15 active dealers and Gainwell’s after-sales capabilities further strengthen the proposition, giving customers access to equipment as well as parts, trained technicians, service and lifecycle support.
Ultimately, ISG brings together global technology, Indian manufacturing and local support as one infrastructure solutions platform.
3. India’s road-building programme is becoming increasingly conscious of pavement quality, rehabilitation and the productive use of existing road assets. Where do you see the strongest opportunity for technologies such as micro-surfacing, crack sealing and other specialised maintenance solutions in the Indian market?
We see a significant opportunity because India is moving from simply expanding its road network to preserving and maximising the value of the network it has already built.
The key shift is towards preventive maintenance. A road does not suddenly require major rehabilitation; deterioration happens progressively. Technologies such as crack sealing and micro-surfacing allow intervention at an earlier stage, helping protect pavements and potentially extend their service life.
Importantly, this shift is now visible in government initiatives. NHAI has introduced mechanised maintenance measures including automatic pothole filling and patching, mechanised sweeping and drain cleaning. We are also seeing technology-led road assessment and repair gaining traction with urban authorities. Delhi’s recent approval of micro-surfacing across nearly 240 km of PWD roads is another strong indication of this transition.
For ISG, this is a natural area of focus. Our Etnyre-backed portfolio is designed to mechanise maintenance activities that have traditionally been labour-intensive, helping authorities and contractors improve consistency, productivity, safety and asset life.
The opportunity extends well beyond national highways to state PWDs, municipalities, urban local bodies, concessionaires and specialised maintenance contractors.
4. Road maintenance in India has traditionally involved considerable manual intervention. What is driving the shift towards mechanisation, and how do you see this changing the way roads are maintained over the next few years?
The shift is being driven by three factors: scale, quality, and safety.
India’s road network has grown enormously, and maintaining it through predominantly manual processes is neither scalable nor consistently productive. At the same time, expectations around road quality and user safety are rising, while many maintenance activities expose workers to traffic, heat, and other hazards.
Mechanisation can address all three challenges. It is not simply about doing the same job faster; it can improve application consistency, reduce human exposure to hazardous processes, and enable smaller teams to cover larger networks.
We are already seeing this transition through NHAI’s adoption of technologies for automatic pothole repair, mechanised sweeping and drain cleaning. More broadly, the sector is moving towards condition monitoring and predictive asset management, enabling deterioration to be identified and addressed earlier.
Over the next few years, we expect road maintenance to become increasingly planned, data-driven, mechanised and preventive, with customers evaluating equipment on productivity, uptime, safety, operating cost, and lifecycle value.
5. Bauma CONEXPO India 2026 will be one of the first major platforms where the industry can see InfraServe Global’s proposition at this scale. What will ISG showcase, and what do you want visitors to understand about the company after seeing the portfolio together?
Bauma CONEXPO India 2026 is particularly significant because it will be our first major exhibition as InfraServe Global. We have participated earlier under the Gainwell umbrella, but this time we will present ISG as a dedicated infrastructure-equipment business.
We will showcase five new products, along with solutions across our four core segments—asphalt and concrete batching, road maintenance and repair, concrete pumps and hydraulic attachments, and related solutions.
Road maintenance will be an important part of the showcase because we believe the Indian market is undergoing a fundamental transition towards mechanised and preventive maintenance.
More broadly, we want visitors to understand that ISG is not a collection of unrelated equipment businesses. It is a complete infrastructure solutions house, combining global technology partnerships, Indian manufacturing, application expertise, and a strong service ecosystem.
Our Talegaon facility in Pune is central to this proposition, enabling local manufacturing, technology transfer, skill development, and exports.
This is the essence of our “Made in India, Built for the World” ambition.
6. The infrastructure equipment industry is moving towards smarter machines, more specialised applications, lower operating costs and increasingly globalised supply chains. Five years from now, what would success look like for InfraServe Global, and which parts of the business do you believe could become its strongest engines of growth?
For us, success five years from now would mean establishing InfraServe Global as a recognised Indian infrastructure-equipment company with a strong domestic footprint and growing international presence.
We see opportunities across all our businesses. Asphalt and concrete batching will continue to benefit from India’s infrastructure, urbanisation and industrial growth, while specialised 60+ hydraulic attachments and concrete pumping solutions will benefit from increasing mechanisation.
However, road maintenance and repair could become one of our strongest growth engines because the underlying requirement is structural. India has created an enormous road asset base, which will require systematic maintenance for decades. As government agencies and contractors move towards preventive and performance-based maintenance, demand for specialised equipment should increase.
Technology will also play a larger role through condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and data-led decision-making.
Across all segments, total cost of ownership will become increasingly important. Customers will look beyond purchase price to productivity, uptime, operating costs, maintenance, service support, and asset life.
Our ambition is therefore not simply to sell more machines, but to deliver measurable lifecycle value through global technology, Indian manufacturing, specialised applications and strong after-sales support.
