Mr. Devin Gawarvala, Entrepreneurial Founder and Owner Rubber King Tyre

Mr. Devin Gawarvala, Entrepreneurial Founder and Owner of Rubber King Tyre, discussing innovation, sustainability, and performance-driven tyre solutions for ports, mining, logistics, and construction sectors in India.
Rubber King Tyre is redefining India’s industrial and OTR tyre landscape through application-specific engineering, sustainable materials, and global performance standards, says founder Devin Gawarvala.

Our brand philosophy, “Proudly Indian, Truly International,” reflects not just where we manufacture, but the standard at which we operate. Rubber King is a trusted ecosystem partner offering performance, reliability, and lifetime value to port operators, warehousing players, mining companies, material-handling fleets, and agricultural users.

Q. Rubber King Tyres has built a reputation as a trusted Indian brand in the industrial and OTR tyre segment. How do you define Rubber King’s identity today is it a tyre manufacturer, a solution provider, or a performance and reliability partner to heavy-equipment users?

At Rubber King, we see ourselves as performance partners to the industries we serve. Yes, we are a 100% Indian tyre manufacturer, but our real identity goes much deeper. We bring global benchmarks, innovation-driven engineering, and application-specific tyre solutions that directly improve the productivity of heavy-equipment users.

Our focus has always been on understanding real world challenges — heat buildup, load stress, abrasive surfaces, machine downtime — and engineering tyres that solve them. This is why our brand philosophy, “Proudly Indian, Truly International,” reflects not just where we manufacture, but the standard at which we operate.

Today, Rubber King is a trusted ecosystem partner offering performance, reliability, and lifetime value to port operators, warehousing players, mining companies material-handling fleets, and agricultural users.

Q. Rubber king introduced the new pneumatic tyre range including the “Bahubali” model for reach-stackers, “Vesper” for backhoe loaders and “Airlift” for forklifts. Could you walk us through the strategic thinking behind choosing these specific segments like ports, material handling, logistics and how you expect them to contribute to portfolio growth?

India’s industrial backbone — ports, logistics hubs, construction, and warehousing — is growing at an accelerated pace. We saw a clear need for a reliable Indian brand with global standards that could match the performance of imported tyres while offering better consistency, service support, and application-specific engineering.

This is what led us to develop three strategic pneumatic lines:

  • Bahubali (Reach-Stackers): Built for extreme load stability, heat resistance, and casing strength in high-stress port environments.
  • Vesper (Backhoe Loaders): Designed for versatility on construction sites, offering superior traction, durability, and puncture resistance.
  • Airlift (Forklifts): Tailored for smooth operations in warehouses, factories, and logistics centres.

The market response has been really strong, validating the need for a high-performance Indian alternative. Operators value our advanced compounding, heat dissipation technology, broader and reinforced lugs, and the casing strength that allows longer, safer operational cycles.

Q. With heavy-duty sectors such as OTR, mining, ports and warehousing showing rising demand, how is Rubber King positioning its product-range from solid tyres to pneumatic and agricultural to capture this demand while keeping manufacturing and cost efficiency in check?

Our strategy is built on three pillars:

A. Compounding Expertise
Rubber King has developed in-house rubber compounds customised for each application — high heat ports, abrasive mines, high-load warehouses, or field-use. This ensures longer life, reduced downtime, and consistent performance.

B. Application-Specific Engineering
From solid super-elastics to pneumatic OTR tyres and agricultural ranges, every product is designed for real-world operations. We are not a “one-size-fits-all” manufacturer; we engineer tyres to the exact demands of each machine category.

C. Manufacturing Efficiency & Warranty Commitment
We maintain strict quality controls, energy-efficient curing processes, and value engineering to manage costs without compromising performance. Our strong warranty builds trust and reinforces our commitment to lifecycle value.

This combination allows us to serve ports, mining, construction, material handling, agriculture, and logistics with precision-fit products, creating a balanced and scalable growth model.

Q. With rising demand across sectors, how is Rubber King enhancing its distribution and service infrastructure, and in what ways do these new facilities strengthen your overall network and help end customer?

Expanding Distribution & Service Infrastructure
Rubber King is systematically extending its distribution and service footprint to meet rising demand across sectors. We already operate key warehouses in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, giving us rapid access to the country’s major industrial corridors. To broaden national coverage, we are adding regional hubs in Raipur, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and Kolkata.

These new facilities strengthen our network and benefit the end-customer in three ways:

Faster, more predictable deliveries – With inventory positioned closer to customers, we can promise next-day delivery on most orders.

Stronger on-ground service and technical support – Local service teams reduce downtime by responding quickly to queries and emergencies.

Improved availability of fast-moving SKUs – Critical tyre lines are stocked locally, ensuring customers have
the right tyre at the right time.

By locating warehouses and service centers strategically, Rubber King is bringing the supply chain closer to the customer, delivering quicker response, higher service quality and a more customer-centric operation nationwide.

Q. Innovation cycles are speeding up, what will Rubber King look like in 5-10 years? For example: will you be offering smart tyres with embedded sensors, more sustainable materials bio-based rubber, or integrated tyre ecosystems such as tyre monitoring service & lifetime guarantee?

Rubber King is already transitioning into the next era of tyre technology. Over the next decade, our focus will revolve around:

  • Sustainable & “Green Tyres”: We already produce sustainable tyres using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient processes.
  • Advanced Compounds & Materials: Bio-based rubber, low-PAH oils, and recyclable components.
  • Smart Tyre Ecosystems: From condition monitoring to predictive maintenance, we aim to offer integrated solutions that reduce downtime and enhance safety.
  • Next-Gen Tyre Architecture: Stronger casings, optimised tread geometries, and application-driven designs.

Our trajectory is clear — from a tyre manufacturer to a performance-technology brand.

Q. Sustainability is no longer optional. How is Rubber King approaching sustainability in materials, waste reduction, recyclable components, and longer tyre life?Would we see a more defined sustainability roadmap soon?

Sustainability for us is not a checkbox — it is a core engineering principle. Our key initiatives include:

  • Longer Tread Life: Reduced landfill footprint due to longer replacement cycles.
  • Energy-Efficient Curing: Lower carbon emissions during production.
  • Green Materials: Incorporation of sustainable rubber sources and low-environmental-impact additives.
  • Recycling Focus: Reduced material waste during production and reuse of internal scrap. A more structured Sustainability Roadmap is also underway, outlining goals for material optimisation, emission reduction, and improved recycling standards.

Q. What’s the biggest “blind spot” or challenge you foresee for the industrial tyre industry for example raw material constraints, alternative mobility formats, regulatory pressure on emissions, shift to EVs and how is Rubber King preparing itself to address that?

The biggest challenge today is the volatility of raw materials and the growing pressure to offer higher performance at stable prices. Additionally, the shift towards electrification, automation, and high-duty cycles demands tyres that can withstand higher torque and continuous use.

Rubber King is addressing this through:

  • Strategic sourcing and compounding consistency
  • R&D-driven development of heat-resistant and load-optimized compounds
  • Design innovations aligned with EV torque and machine automation
  • Operational efficiencies across our manufacturing processes

We are investing ahead of the curve so that our customers continue to receive tyres that match the evolving demands of next-generation machinery and equipments.
