The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) has launched the PAIMANA (Project Assessment and Implementation Monitoring and Network Analysis) portal, a new digital platform to track progress of 1,702 central infrastructure projects with a combined investment of ₹39.25 lakh crore.

The portal is designed to provide real-time monitoring of ongoing infrastructure programmes across multiple sectors, enabling improved transparency, accountability and timely decision-making. PAIMANA aims to streamline project tracking from planning through implementation and completion, consolidating critical data in a centralised dashboard.

PAIMANA will capture key project indicators such as physical progress, financial utilisation, completion timelines, bottlenecks and risk factors. The system allows integration of data from multiple ministries and implementing agencies, offering a unified view of project performance across sectors including roads, railways, urban development, energy, ports and water resources.

The platform’s analytic tools will support visualisation of trends, performance comparisons and early identification of delays or cost overruns. MOSPI said that this will enhance evidence-based policy actions and help in aligning resources and interventions where they are most needed.

The portal also includes features for automated alerts, milestone tracking and periodic reporting to senior officials, helping to expedite corrective actions where necessary. By providing consolidated project progress information, the platform is expected to improve coordination among stakeholders and reduce information asymmetry across departments.

PAIMANA will be accessible to line ministries, implementing agencies and authorised users for continuous data updates and progress reviews. The portal’s launch coincides with ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure delivery efficiency and support India’s development priorities.

According to the initial deployment plan, the PAIMANA system will be regularly updated and expanded to include additional projects in future phases, strengthening its role as a core project monitoring tool for central infrastructure investments.

The new portal marks a significant step towards digitisation of project management and implementation oversight, reinforcing the government’s focus on enhancing transparency, efficiency and performance monitoring for large-scale infrastructure programmes.
