Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported a 20% year-on-year increase in total tractor sales for July 2026, with dispatches rising to 34,420 units from 28,708 units in the corresponding month last year. The growth was driven by robust domestic demand, supported by favourable rural sentiment, improved agricultural activity and healthy reservoir levels.
Domestic tractor sales stood at 32,643 units, registering a 21% increase over 26,990 units sold in July 2025. Export volumes also improved, rising 3% to 1,777 units from 1,718 units a year earlier.
Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said the domestic market continued to benefit from positive farm economics, aided by good monsoon progress, higher minimum support prices (MSPs) for key crops and sustained government support for the agriculture sector. He noted that these factors have helped maintain healthy demand for tractors across key rural markets.
Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, expects rural demand to remain resilient in the coming months as kharif sowing progresses and agricultural activity gathers pace, providing continued support to the farm equipment industry.
