Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has achieved its highest-ever single-day road despatch of 54,316 tonnes at the Garjanbahal Open Cast Project (OCP) in the Basundhara Area, setting a new operational record for the project.
The achievement highlights the project’s coal despatch performance through road transportation, an important route for supplying coal to consumers. Garjanbahal OCP is part of MCL’s operations in Odisha.
The record reflects the project’s efforts to maintain coal movement and improve operational efficiency. MCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, plays a significant role in meeting the coal requirements of power plants and other industrial consumers.
