Mateco Places Order for 1,500 Genie Machines to Strengthen 2026 Equipment Fleet

Mateco orders 1,500 Genie access equipment machines including scissor lifts, articulating booms, hybrid units and TraX models to expand its 2026 rental fleet.
Mateco has placed a major order for 1,500 Genie machines—including scissor lifts, boom lifts, hybrids and TraX models—to strengthen its 2026 fleet and meet rising global demand for access equipment.

Mateco has announced a significant purchase agreement for 1,500 new Genie® machines, marking a major step in its fleet expansion and renewal plan for 2026. The large-scale order spans the complete Genie lineup, including electric and diesel scissor lifts, articulating booms in both diesel and FE hybrid configurations, telescopic boom lifts, and a notable volume of Genie TraX™ models designed for enhanced performance on challenging terrain.

According to Andries Schouten, COO of Mateco Group, the investment underscores the company’s longstanding confidence in Genie equipment. He highlighted that Genie’s durability, reliability and extensive aftermarket support play a crucial role in maximizing machine uptime across Mateco’s international rental operations. Strong residual values for Genie equipment at the end of the rental lifecycle also contributed to the decision.

Genie expressed appreciation for the continued partnership. Arjen Snijder, Business Development Director Benelux, and Sharbel Kordahi, Vice President Sales & Support EMEA, noted that the large order reflects a deep level of trust and collaboration between the two companies. They reaffirmed Genie’s commitment to advancing product performance, customer support, and overall service quality for rental partners worldwide.

The expanded fleet will support Mateco’s growing customer base across multiple markets and strengthen the company’s ability to meet rising equipment demand across construction, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
