Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Construction & Mining Machinery business has partnered with FAYAT Road Equipment Division (FRED) India to market specialised BOMAG road construction equipment in India. The partnership will cover the marketing, sales, after-sales support and supply of spare parts for the equipment.
Under the partnership, L&T will introduce BOMAG’s specialised range comprising road milling machines, soil stabilisers and cement spreaders to the Indian market. The products will complement L&T’s existing road machinery portfolio and enable the company to cater to a wider range of applications across road construction, maintenance and broader infrastructure development.
BOMAG is part of FAYAT’s Road Equipment Division and is headquartered in Germany. The brand is recognised globally for road construction technologies and equipment, while FAYAT is one of France’s major independent construction groups with operations spanning more than 170 countries.
The collaboration combines BOMAG’s specialised road construction technologies with L&T’s established customer base and nationwide product-support network. L&T said its service infrastructure, supported by a central warehouse in Nagpur, will provide technical assistance and after-sales support throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Parab, Senior Executive Vice President and Whole-time Director – Manufacturing, L&T, said the addition of BOMAG’s specialised equipment strengthens the company’s long-standing presence in advanced construction equipment technologies. L&T’s Construction & Mining Machinery business has been active in introducing construction and mining equipment technologies to the Indian market for decades.
Abhijit Som, Managing Director – FRED India, said India remains a strategic growth market for the FAYAT Group, with continued infrastructure investment expected to drive demand for advanced and sustainable road construction solutions. He added that combining BOMAG technologies with L&T’s market reach and service capabilities would provide Indian customers with specialised equipment backed by local support.
The partnership comes as India continues to expand investment in roads, highways and infrastructure, creating growing demand for specialised machinery capable of improving construction productivity, road quality and project efficiency. The collaboration is expected to strengthen the availability of advanced road-building technologies in India while expanding L&T’s equipment portfolio.
