KONE has expanded its residential mobility portfolio in India with the launch of the KONE Villa 100, a compact and energy-efficient home elevator tailored for modern villas and low-rise residences. The product was unveiled at KONE’s India Supply Unit (ISU) in Sriperumbudur in the presence of Philippe Delorme, President and CEO of KONE Corporation, along with Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE India and South Asia.
Highlighting India’s strategic importance to the company, Philippe Delorme stated that the new product reflects KONE’s focus on developing reliable and energy-efficient solutions aligned with local market needs, while leveraging the company’s strong engineering and manufacturing capabilities within the country.
The KONE Villa 100 is designed to offer comfort, safety, and sustainability within a small installation footprint. It operates on permanent magnet synchronous gearless technology with VVVF control and runs on a 220V single-phase power supply. Compared to conventional home elevators, the system is engineered to consume significantly lower energy. Intelligent features automatically switch off cabin lighting and ventilation when the elevator is idle, restoring them instantly during use.
Optimised specifically for residential applications, the elevator delivers smooth and quiet travel with controlled speeds and reduced noise levels. Safety has been integrated into its core design, with provisions such as automatic rescue operation during power failures, emergency lighting, and controlled movement to the nearest floor to allow safe exit. Homeowners can also personalise the elevator through a wide selection of interior finishes and scenic glass options, enabling seamless integration with contemporary home designs.
Amit Gossain noted that the introduction of the KONE Villa 100 further strengthens KONE India’s residential offerings and positions the company among those with the broadest product portfolios in the segment.
