Interarch Building Solutions has inaugurated its new Heavy Structural Steel manufacturing facility at Attivaram in Andhra Pradesh, adding an annual production capacity of 24,000 metric tonnes to its operations.
The Phase 1 facility has been established on around 20 acres of land and has approximately 25,000 sq m of built-up area. The plant has been equipped with machinery sourced from technology providers in Europe and India for high-precision fabrication and manufacturing of heavy structural steel members.
The new facility is capable of producing large-sized hot-rolled sections and plate-girder structural members for projects requiring specific engineering and dimensional specifications. The company has developed the facility to cater to applications where heavier and more complex steel structures are required.
Interarch plans to supply structural steel solutions from the facility for high-rise buildings, data centres, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing facilities, renewable energy projects, electric vehicle infrastructure and large industrial developments.
The company has invested ₹80 crore in the capacity addition, which has been funded entirely through internal accruals. Following the commissioning of the new facility, Interarch’s total installed manufacturing capacity has increased from 2,21,000 MT to 2,45,000 MT with effect from September 24, 2026.
The Heavy Structural Steel facility adds to Interarch’s existing Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) manufacturing operations at Attivaram. The company had earlier commissioned Phase 2 of its PEB facility at the location, with an installed capacity of 24,000 MT per annum.
The Andhra Pradesh facility is strategically positioned close to industrial clusters, ports and major transportation networks. It is expected to support supplies to customers across South and West India while improving the movement of raw materials and finished structural components.
Interarch has retained the remaining land at the site for further expansion. Civil work for Phase 2 of the Heavy Structural Steel facility is already underway, with additional capacity planned through subsequent phases.
The new capability forms part of Interarch’s broader expansion into heavy structural steel solutions, allowing the company to address projects requiring structural members beyond the scope of conventional PEB applications. The capacity addition is also aimed at strengthening manufacturing capabilities, improving operational efficiencies and supporting growing customer demand.
