Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Jindal Stainless Limited have renewed their Lubricants Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) partnership for another five years, extending their long-standing association in industrial lubricant supplies.

The agreement was formally renewed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit in Haryana. The signing ceremony was attended by Hemant Rathore, Executive Director, Northern Region & State Head, DSO, Indian Oil, and Vijay Bindlish, Unit Head – Hisar, Jindal Stainless.

Under the renewed arrangement, Indian Oil will continue to manage and supply lubricants required for Jindal Stainless’ industrial operations through the VMI model. The partnership is aimed at ensuring reliable availability of lubrication products while supporting equipment reliability and operational efficiency at the manufacturing facility.

The companies have also renewed the Consumer Operated Lube Depot (COLD) agreement for another five years. The arrangement forms part of the broader relationship between the two organisations covering lubricant and energy requirements.

Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, said the long-standing association with Indian Oil reflects the value of sustained collaboration between the two companies, with a common focus on quality, reliability and technical excellence. He said the renewed agreement would provide an opportunity to deepen the engagement and explore new areas of technical cooperation as industry requirements evolve.

Hemant Rathore said Indian Oil and Jindal Stainless have maintained a long-standing relationship covering a wide range of lubricant and fuel requirements. He described the renewal of the COLD agreement for another five years as an important milestone in the partnership.

Besides lubricants, Indian Oil supplies Jindal Stainless with Light Diesel Oil (LDO), High-Speed Diesel (HSD), Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) and Propane. These supplies extend the association beyond industrial lubrication to cover several of the stainless steel manufacturer’s energy requirements.

The VMI arrangement enables coordination of lubricant requirements and supplies at the manufacturing operations, helping maintain the availability of products required for industrial equipment. The continued technical engagement between the companies also supports the changing lubrication requirements associated with manufacturing operations.

The five-year renewal extends the established partnership between Indian Oil and Jindal Stainless while combining lubricant supply, inventory management and technical cooperation with the wider supply of energy products.
