HMPL Wins ₹28.47 Crore NHAI Project in Jharkhand

Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) has secured a ₹28.47 crore contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for operating the Madangundi Fee Plaza on NH-31 in Jharkhand, strengthening the company’s presence in highway operations and user-fee management.

The company received the Letter of Award (LOA) through the e-tendering process. The contract covers the engagement of HMPL as the user fee agency at Madangundi Fee Plaza, located at km 12.3 of NH-31 in Jharkhand.
The contract has a tenure of 12 months, during which HMPL will be responsible for user-fee collection and associated toll-plaza operations. The scope also includes maintenance of the adjacent toilet blocks, including the upkeep of related consumables.

The latest award adds to HMPL’s recent run of NHAI contracts. The company has secured multiple user-fee collection assignments during August, including contracts for fee plazas in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The latest Jharkhand award takes the value of these three recent contracts to approximately ₹81.27 crore.
For HMPL, the contracts provide a recurring operational revenue stream and expand its exposure to the highway-management segment. The company operates across renewable energy and road infrastructure, including road projects executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model.

The Madangundi assignment also highlights the growing importance of toll-plaza management as an infrastructure-services opportunity. With India’s national highway network continuing to expand, efficient user-fee collection, plaza operations and associated facility management have become an integral part of highway asset management.

Unlike a conventional road-construction order, the latest contract is primarily an operations-focused assignment, providing HMPL with an opportunity to generate revenue through the management of an existing highway facility rather than through capital-intensive construction.

The company’s recent NHAI wins indicate an increasing focus on this segment, while also providing near-term visibility through fixed-term contracts. However, as the assignments are generally limited to defined periods, sustaining growth will depend on the company’s ability to continue securing new tenders and efficiently execute existing contracts.

The ₹28.47 crore Madangundi Fee Plaza award therefore strengthens HMPL’s near-term project pipeline while adding another government-backed highway operations contract to its growing portfolio.
