Dilip Buildcon Ltd. (DBL) has emerged as the lowest (L-1) bidder for a ₹2,524.32-crore irrigation infrastructure project awarded by the Water Resources Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, strengthening its order book in the water resources segment.

The project involves the construction of the Kelo Major Irrigation Project under the Kelo Basin, including civil works and associated infrastructure. Designed to enhance irrigation potential and improve water availability for agriculture, the project forms part of the state’s efforts to strengthen water resource management and expand irrigation coverage.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract carries an execution period of 60 months from the appointed date. The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and will be executed by Dilip Buildcon in accordance with the terms of the contract.

The project adds to Dilip Buildcon’s portfolio of infrastructure works spanning roads, highways, irrigation, mining, tunnels and urban development. With the latest order, the company continues to expand its presence in the water infrastructure sector, which has witnessed increased public investment in recent years.

The company informed the stock exchanges that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the awarding authority, and the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
