River barrage construction with water infrastructure and civil engineering works

Dilip Buildcon Limited has announced that its joint venture, DBL–RBL JV, has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder for a project valued at ₹268 crore (excluding GST) in Gujarat.

As per the company’s regulatory filing, the scope of work includes the design and construction of the Ged barrage, along with protection works and other associated activities on the Sabarmati River, between the Hirpura barrage and Lakroda weir in Sabarkantha district.

The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model, covering end-to-end execution responsibilities. In addition to the construction scope, the contract also includes an operation and maintenance (O&M) period of 10 years, ensuring long-term engagement with the project asset.

The execution timeline for the project is 24 months, as specified in the tender conditions. The contract has been awarded by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department, Government of Gujarat, and is classified as a domestic project.

The company has also confirmed that the contract does not involve any related party transactions, and there is no interest from the promoter or promoter group entities in the awarding authority, maintaining compliance with corporate governance norms.

The project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen water infrastructure and river management systems in Gujarat, particularly in the Sabarmati basin, where barrage development and protection works are essential for water regulation and regional infrastructure support.
