Advanced Rail Controls Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Concord Control Systems, has secured a ₹139.32 crore contract from Indian Railways to supply, install, and commission a locomotive wireless control system, supporting railway safety and digital modernization.

Concord Control Systems Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited has won a major order from Indian Railways valued at ₹139.32 crore for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a loco wireless control system. The contract was disclosed in a regulatory filing and will be executed over the next 18 months from the date of commencement. 

Under the terms of the order, Advanced Rail Controls will deliver the complete wireless control solution, install the system across designated locomotives, and carry out full operational commissioning. This technology is part of Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to integrate advanced control and communication systems into its locomotive fleet to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and remote management capabilities. 

The project is fully domestic in scope, involving supply and execution within India. Regulatory disclosures confirm that the contract was awarded on a normal commercial basis by Indian Railways, with no involvement of promoter or promoter group interests and without any related-party considerations. 

Market reaction to the announcement was positive. Shares of Concord Control Systems saw an uptick in trading, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s order book growth and its expanding role in the railway technology segment. 

The locomotive wireless control system forms part of modern rail signalling and control solutions that Indian Railways is increasingly adopting as it pushes ahead with infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation initiatives across its network.
