CII EXCON 2025 wraps up in Bengaluru with record participation, over 1,250 exhibitors, 300+ product launches, and a strong spotlight on sustainable and digital construction technologies.

South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition, CII EXCON 2025, concluded after five days of major industry engagement, record participation and a strong showcase of next-generation construction machinery and smart technologies. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the 13th edition reinforced India’s position as a growing hub for construction innovation and infrastructure growth.

Spanning approximately 3.5 million square feet, EXCON 2025 drew over 1,250 exhibitors including leading Indian and global manufacturers and welcomed an estimated 1.2 lakh business visitors, making it one of the largest construction equipment expos worldwide. Participants included representatives from more than 20 countries, with international pavilions from France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, China and the UK.

The event served as a platform for more than 300 product launches and live demonstrations of advanced machinery, digital solutions and low-emission equipment, highlighting trends in automation, electrification and sustainability. Exhibitors showcased the latest in AI-enabled systems, telematics, hybrid and electric powertrains, and equipment tailored for infrastructure sectors such as highways, smart cities, metros, airports and ports.

Several leading companies used the forum to debut new products. For example, international and domestic players introduced advanced excavators with improved fuel efficiency and telematics features, while fully electric truck mixers and hybrid construction machines underscored the industry’s shift toward greener operations.

Industry leaders lauded the event’s scale and business outcomes. R. Mukundan, President Designate of CII and Chairman of EXCON 2025, said the exhibition reflects the sector’s collective commitment to strengthening India’s construction ecosystem. He noted that the industry is poised for long-term growth, driven by increasing mechanisation and rising demand for infrastructure development across the country.

The event also incorporated high-level discussions and conferences focusing on skill development, safety standards, decarbonisation pathways and alignment with national infrastructure initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, Bharatmala projects and smart city programmes. These sessions fostered collaboration among original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contractors, financiers, SMEs and startups, and emphasised opportunities for innovation and export growth.

Organisers and exhibitors expressed confidence that EXCON 2025 will help accelerate India’s construction equipment market which is targeting significant expansion and export potential while supporting the nation’s broader infrastructure ambitions under initiatives like Viksit Bharat and the drive toward a US $30 trillion economy by 2047.

EXCON continues to be recognised as a bellwether event for industry trends and investment sentiment, bridging technology, business and policy in a sector central to India’s economic growth and urban transformation.
