Chhattisgarh approves ₹429.45 crore to upgrade urban infrastructure across 13 municipal corporations under the Mukhyamantri Nagarotthan Yojana.

The Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned Rs 429.45 crore to develop modern and iconic urban infrastructure across 13 municipal corporations under the Mukhyamantri Nagarotthan Yojana. The initiative, announced in the 2025–26 state budget, aims to strengthen urban development in a phased manner.

Under Phase 1, all 14 municipal corporations are being taken up for infrastructure enhancement, while the next phase will extend support to municipal councils and nagar panchayats, ensuring wider urban improvement across the state.

The approvals were issued with the consent of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, who oversees the Urban Administration and Development Department. So far in the current financial year, the department has cleared 26 projects worth Rs 429.45 crore, marking a significant push towards building well-planned and resilient civic infrastructure.
