The Bihar government has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹51,600 crore with ten industrial groups, marking one of the state’s largest investment initiatives aimed at accelerating industrialisation, strengthening manufacturing capabilities and generating large-scale employment. The agreements were signed in Patna in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, covering sectors including steel, nuclear energy, textiles, food processing and pharmaceuticals.
A significant share of the proposed investment is directed towards the steel sector, with six companies committing a combined ₹28,626 crore. Major proposals include Nakshit Iron & Steel Pvt. Ltd. with ₹6,836 crore, Ankur Steel Pvt. Ltd. with ₹6,000 crore, Shri Langta Baba Metals & Power Ltd. with ₹5,500 crore, and Shyam Steel Manufacturing Ltd. and Shakambhari Ispat & Power Ltd., each pledging ₹5,000 crore. These projects are expected to strengthen Bihar’s ambition of emerging as a major steel manufacturing hub.
The largest single investment proposal comes from Global Renewable Advanced Clean Energy (GRACE) Pvt. Ltd., which has proposed a ₹22,500 crore investment in the nuclear energy sector. Additional investments have also been announced in the textile industry by Creative Group and Anubhav Apparels Pvt. Ltd., while Bharat Science and Innovation Pvt. Ltd. has committed investments in advanced manufacturing
Describing the agreements as a milestone in Bihar’s industrial journey, the state government said the focus will now shift towards translating these investment proposals into on-ground projects. The initiative is expected to support employment generation, strengthen industrial infrastructure and attract further investments ahead of the Bihar Business Connect 2026 summit, reinforcing the state’s efforts to position itself as an emerging manufacturing and investment destination.
