BEML Targets $200 Million Export Order Book by FY27, Wins Middle East Tenders

BEML Limited is targeting an export order book of $200 million by the end of FY27, as the state-owned engineering company steps up its international expansion, supported by recent contract wins in the Middle East and a strong domestic project pipeline.

The company’s international order book had reached $112.35 million by late June 2026, putting it more than halfway towards its FY27 target. BEML subsequently reported an international order book of around $115 million as of August 2026, reflecting continued momentum in its overseas business.

BEML secured an additional $5.35 million export order from the Middle East in June 2026 for heavy earthmoving equipment. The company’s international order book increased from $106.95 million in April 2026 to $112.35 million by late June, while the Middle East has emerged as an important market for BEML’s heavy earthmoving equipment. The company is seeking to build on this momentum as it works towards its $200 million export-order target for FY27.

BEML’s export push comes alongside strong domestic business momentum. Its total order book crossed ₹16,000 crore as of August 2026, while the company has an estimated opportunity pipeline of ₹35,000 crore to ₹40,000 crore, providing substantial order visibility over the coming years.

The company also reported strong financial performance in the first quarter of FY27, with revenue rising 29 per cent year-on-year. Management expects the growth momentum to continue through the second quarter and subsequent quarters.

The expansion of BEML’s international business is part of a broader strategy to diversify its revenue base beyond the domestic market. Its focus on overseas opportunities includes heavy earthmoving equipment as well as its established businesses across Rail & Metro, Defence, Mining and Construction.

The company’s Middle East orders are particularly significant as BEML adapts its heavy earthmoving equipment for infrastructure-related applications in overseas markets. The strategy provides an additional avenue for growth alongside its established domestic business segments.

A $200 million export order-book target for FY27, BEML is looking to build on its recent overseas wins while leveraging its expanding domestic order pipeline and diversified engineering capabilities.
