Axiscades Subsidiary Wins ₹80 Crore Avionics Hardware Order for HAL’s LCA Mk1A Programme

Axiscades subsidiary Mistral Solutions secures ₹80 crore order for avionics hardware for HAL LCA Mk1A fighter jets
Axiscades’ subsidiary, Mistral Solutions, secures ₹80 crore contract to supply Mission Computers and Smart Multifunction Displays for HAL’s LCA Mk1A programme from Bengaluru’s Devanahalli Atmanirbhar Complex.

Axiscades Technologies Ltd’s defence arm has secured a significant production order worth approximately ₹80 crore to supply critical avionics hardware for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk1A programme of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The contract was awarded to the company’s subsidiary, Mistral Solutions, and marks a notable win in India’s defence electronics manufacturing sector.

Under the contract, Mistral Solutions will design, manufacture and deliver electronic hardware for key avionics subsystems, including Mission Computers and Smart Multifunction Displays for the LCA Mk1A aircraft. These components are integral to advanced cockpit systems and combat mission capabilities being integrated into the indigenous fighter jet platform.

All production and delivery work will be carried out from Axiscades’ newly commissioned Devanahalli Atmanirbhar Complex (DAL) facility located in the Bengaluru Aerospace Park near Kempegowda International Airport. The facility, focused on high-performance embedded systems and defence electronics, has been positioned as a strategic base for supplying sophisticated hardware for domestic defence programmes.

Company officials said the order reinforces Axiscades Group’s commitment to supporting the government’s push for defence indigenisation and the broader “Make in India” initiative. The contract also strengthens longstanding collaborations with HAL and reflects an expanding role for Indian technology firms in supplying high-value avionics equipment for key military platforms.

The LCA Mk1A programme, aimed at enhancing the Indian Air Force’s combat fleet with advanced indigenous fighter aircraft, has been a central component of India’s defence modernisation agenda. Orders such as this highlight growing participation from private and private-sector backed firms in the production of critical systems for major defence platforms.

Axiscades’ share price reacted positively to the announcement, with trading momentum indicating strong investor confidence following the order win. The company said the project will also position it favourably for participation in upcoming defence production programmes and further amplify its presence in the aerospace and defence ecosystem.
